Family Vaca 2008!!!

In celebration of "earth day", I think it is sometime in the near future, we went to enjoy God's creations at the Yellow River Game Ranch! It was so much fun, Zane LOVED petting and feeding all the different animals. They had bears, cougars, foxes, skunks, etc. Most of the animals roam free, there was one turkey that was in a constant state of anger. Zane got chased and hissed at from a peacock (he wasn't super excited about it). Good times!

my favorite holiday!!!!

I love Valentine's Day!!! It's my favorite! Lee always does something really sweet for me. This morning I woke up to 24 red roses and a banner of hand written notes hanging from the ceiling and strung out on our island along with rose petals and heart shaped candies. Oh, and not to forget the Lindt truffles that were dropped on the roses, yummmm!!!

We got Zane a "Blue's Clues" dvd. His reaction was "cool! boos cues".

I have so many "favorite" Valentines' days! My top four go something like...

3. This would have to be grouped into the "when I was a kid". We would stuff little valentines with candy and leave them at the doorsteps of our friends. We also created fun valentine boxes to put on our doorstep for our friends to leave a valentine for us. It was always so much fun! (I think I might attempt to start the tradition here when Zane gets bigger).

2. Mine and Lee's first Valentine's day. I walked out of my house to go to work to find that he had come by the house in the middle of the night and covered the door with bright pink sticky notes. He also left a red rose, and a heart shaped box of chocolates on the doorsteps. That evening he surprised me by making me a shrimp pasta meal and chocolate lovers cheesecake. It is still a Valentine's day meal tradition!

1. Last year we were in Rome. He picked me up and spun me around on the top of the Vatican, bought a rose from a street peddler (we took a picture) then he gave it back so the guy could resale it ..We ate gelato and some awesome lasgna! It was such a fun trip! Perfect for Valentines!!!
